About

I’m a young head out to chronicle all the wild, weird, wonderful stories that are only natural, inevitable even, when you decide to live your life to the sound of this crazy music.

Every Deadhead has a tale to tell, but there hasn’t really been an outlet for us to share, discuss, and listen to one another’s stories. As far as Grateful Dead literature goes, there are plenty of histories of the band but fewer of the fans even though, as Phil is fond of saying, we help make the music too.

I’m currently interviewing anyone who’s willing to share. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to 1 show, or 30, or 407. I don’t care if you got on the bus in ’65, ’84, ’93, or even 2009 (like me). I hope that in time I will accumulate enough interviews that we’ll have a kind of 360 perspective of what this community is about, and all the many ways that the music influences our lives. Kind of like what Studs Terkel did for World War II and the Great Depression, or what Max Brooks did for World War Z.

If you’re interested in sitting for an interview please contact me, and please tell your friends!
